The ministry of Bay Baptist Training Centre is two-fold:  (1) a Bible institute where men and women can come and get training for the work of the ministry (2) an online Bible institute that can be made available to local churches of like faith to be able to start a Bible institute at their location. At our physical location in Port Elizabeth, South Africa we specialize in training church planters to go out and help in reach the world through soul-winning, discipleship and the planting of autonomous Baptist churches.

Bay Baptist Training Centre is an institute committed to historic Christianity; and, in particular, historic Baptist principles. We accept the Bible as the Word of God without requiring logical or observational proof. The Bible claims to be the perfect Word of God, and since we accept the Bible we must accept this claim. We consider the belief that God exists to be so obvious to every observational and rational faculty and to every culture in history, that such belief is not necessary to state. The pivotal concept is that God exists as He is revealed in the Bible. All other items in the Doctrinal Statement are drawn from an examination of the Scripture.
